01.THE RUN-DOWN

I would like to first start off by saying no matter where we choose to take your photos, we will create beautiful images. Sometimes, 'ugly' locations turn out to be the coolest spots. A location is only a meeting point, a backdrop, a tiny fraction of our time together. Don't stress too much when deciding on where you want your photos. We will make some beautiful work no matter where we go.

On the other side, a location can really help us when creating your story. Personal locations are my favorite; your home, your first-date spot, your favorite beach up north. I love when you take me along with you to tell your story to a location that gets you excited. A location you really love.

02.LOCAL LOCATIONS

DeVries Nature Conservancy

Perfect during every season. Public area with river access, walking paths, flowers during the summer, beautiful colors during the fall, and endless possibilities for amazing shots.

Henderson Park

500 W Henderson Rd, Owosso, MI 48867

Also perfect during every season. Similar to DeVries except it is darker because most of the areas are shaded by tall trees. Public park with river access, unique stone wall and multiple staircases throughout the park, playground equipment for children which can make for some cute shots with young children, and just filled with a lot of options for great photos.

Backroom + Outside at the Woodard Station Building

There's a big, wide-open room inside of the Woodard Station Building. It's an industrial location with exposed overhead beams, beautiful brick walls, and gorgeous hardwood floors. The lighting is stunning in the evening/golden hour. It's a very unique room. I also take photos outside this building around the area. Brick buildings, window ledges to sit on, rustic backdrops, and it's all within walking distance.

Shiatown Park

Beautiful in the summer. River access, tall grasses, pretty trees in the fall, and large open grassy areas.

Great for all seasons. Lake access/dock, boardwalk with tall grasses/cattails, and walking trails.

I love traveling for your photos. Michigan is a beautiful state with so much to offer. There's only so many spots in Owosso area, so I would love to take it further and go somewhere outside of my range for your session! I am familiar with the places listed below and HAVE experience at these locations. Of course, I am willing to go quite literally anywhere, so if you have a location outside of my range not listed below, let's talk about it.

04.OUT-OF-STATE LOCATIONS

Out-of-state travel is not just for weddings. Going on vacation or want to make a trip? Bring me along with you! Engagement photos, family photos, senior photos... literally anything. I would love to travel along with you. I began my out-of-state travel journey for work officially in 2025. My goal is to travel more, so if you are the type of person who wants to travel and want professional photos to document it, I'm your girl. When I travel for you, it's much different than regular sessions. I don't stress a time limit for the shoot or number of spots within the location. Want to go out and explore together before our shoot? Let's do it! I love building a relationship with my clients outside of the photo session. If we're traveling together, let's have fun!

Travel fees will depend on the location which we will discuss during the booking process.

05.FAQ

CAN I SUGGEST A LOCATION?

Yes! Personal to you or not, if you have an idea on where you want your photos, please tell me. I am only here for suggestions. These are your photos, I want them to be exactly what you want.

CAN WE BRING PETS?

I am an animal lover. Please bring them with you! They're apart of your family too! If they are not good around people, overly-hyper or agressive, or have any issues, I suggest keeping them at home. But I would love to include them in your photos! Please notify me beforehand, not all locations allow pets.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

A little rain makes for moody photos - but no downpours and thunderstorms due to ruining your hair/clothes and my gear. Snow is beautiful, but if it's unsafe driving conditions I suggest a reschedule. If it's too sunny or too cloudy for your liking, we can always reschedule. My personal favorite is overcast - it'll make you look your best.

HOW MANY LOCATIONS CAN WE CHOOSE?

Each session differs, but I say pick 2. For family sessions, usually it's easier to pick one location that has a lot of spots at it so we can keep everyone together and running smoothly.

ARE ALL OF THOSE LOCATIONS KID-FRIENDLY?

Yes! Every location I suggest is perfect for every type of session. I will only discuss a location not listed above if I feel it fits your session best. My location guide is to give a broad overview of possible options for any type of session.

WHAT TIME OF DAY IS BEST FOR PHOTOS?

At almost every outdoor location, I suggest the late afternoon/evening. If you're morning people, I'm down to do an early morning shoot. The middle of the day is hard because the lighting is harsh on skin tones, but of course, I am trained in all scenerios so if we have to do a certain time, I will make it work!

ARE THESE LOCATIONS CROWDED OR PRIVATE?

Almost every location is a public area. Local parks and areas may have a couple people walking by, but generally will be private and just us. Locations such as beaches, downtown cities, popular tourist spots will not be private and may be crowded. In most scenerios, I can edit people out of the background, but not every time.

HOW MUCH WALKING IS INVOLVED?

I try to keep it simple and easy, but sometimes there may be some walking involved. It's not hiking, just walks in between spots at the one location if necessary. If you choose a location with a lot of walking involved, I will say so especially if you have a big group. If you ever want to be sure, just ask!

I HAVE MULTIPLE OUTFITS - IS THERE A PLACE TO CHANGE?

I can't guarantee a place to change at every location. Often times, clients will have to change in their car or a public bathroom. I do not have a changing tent.

06.WHAT'S NEXT

Once you have your location(s) in mind, get ahold of me! This step will sort of finalize your session and you can begin to plan outfits and ideas. Feel free to share your ideas with me, I would love to help plan. Poses, outfits, mood boards, etc. I love planning with my clients.

There are locations I have shot at that are not listed above. This is just a few to get your thoughts going. If you want more, reach out to me. I will send more options. I have shot at so many places that sometimes I forget, so if you see any locations I shoot at that you like, send them to me. I will literally go anywhere.
