WEDDING DAY QUESTIONNAIRE

Congratulations! It's your wedding year!

It's not too long before you will be marrying your best friend! Thank you for choosing me to photograph your special day; I truly couldn't be more excited. In order for me to give you the best experience possible, I have all my wedding clients complete a wedding photography questionnaire to help me understand more about what you want, and help you understand more about how I operate.

Feel free to be detailed and creative - these questions are designed to make sure I capture every aspect of your wedding day that you have dreamed of!

Here’s a sample timeline guide just to give you an idea of how a typical wedding day can flow. Every wedding is different, so this is simply a reference — we’ll customize your timeline together in whatever way works best for your day. And if you’d like my help building it, I’m always happy to!

A common flow looks something like:

  • Details + venue photos
  • Bride getting ready
  • Groom getting ready, then groom + groomsmen portraits
  • Bride + bridesmaids portraits
  • First looks (if you’re doing one — I usually recommend bridal party photos beforehand so we have more time for family photos after the ceremony)
  • Ceremony
  • Family photos
  • Reception

I like to state this before getting into the questions so you it can guide you a bit!

Some couples choose to opt out of this to allot more time to the bride, as they feel the photographs of the groom getting ready isn't needed. If you don't want me to get photos of the groom getting ready, please respond with DO NOT NEED.

Someone who will be with the bride most of the day that I can call or text if need be.

Are there any divorces, deaths, or difficult relationships that you would like me to know about?

*

Any special surprises? Are there any sentimental details or special surprises at the reception that you want photographs of (sparkler exit, a certain detail, surprise dance, etc.)?

*

Please assume I will be documenting your wedding in full from end to end and have an extensive list of photos I will be getting throughout the day. I just want to add in any that I may be unaware of.

*

You can get it to me a couple different ways. Bring it with you to the wedding, or give it to someone who will give it to me. Please note that if something is two-sided I'd love two copies to show it both in the same photo.

Remember, the more combos you want, the longer it will take, and people will be waiting at the reception venue. I recommend keeping your list as simple as possible, but don't miss out on any shots you really want.

(Please list these in this fashion: bride + my aunt Linda + my Uncle Tom + my cousin Sarah). Don't forget names, so when the time comes I can just yell out the names and make the process go faster.

Assuming you will be making a final timeline document, please share with me via email so I can have it with me on your wedding day.

If anything changes, please let me know so I can stay in the loop!

We will talk soon :)
